Guidelines for In-Person Services

Beginning May 31, 2020

There is something special when believers gather together in worship. While we are thankful for the technology to worship virtually and will continue to offer that option, we are eagerly looking forward to meeting together in person! That said, we want to love one another well by protecting our brothers and sisters physically to the best of our ability.

The CDC, Governor Beshear, and the Assemblies of God have set some guidelines for us to follow when we meet in person. In light of those guidelines, things will look different for those who choose to meet with us physically. Please read through the following very carefully, so we all know what to expect.

Those who should continue worshiping with us virtually..

First and foremost, those who have any signs of illness personally or have been exposed to someone who has signs of illness should stay home.
Per the guidelines, we will have a thermometer available and checking temperatures at the door. Anyone who has a temperature of 100.5 or above or show signs of illness will be asked to participate in our services virtually from home.

Those who are at higher risk or uncomfortable joining us physically should also join us virtually from home and should not feel any shame or guilt in doing so.

If you choose to worship with us in person...

Please take your temperature at home before you come.
Volunteers will take your temperature again upon your arrival at church.

Please use the restroom before you come.
We can only have one at a time in the bathroom and the bathroom must be sanitized after each use. If you need to use the restroom at church, we ask that you sanitize the toilet handle, stall handle, sink, and light switch with the available cleaning products when you are finished.

Please wear a covering over your mouth and nose.
We highly recommend wearing a face covering. Face masks, handkerchiefs, and scarfs suffice. If you need one, we will have disposable masks available.

All doors will be propped open, so you do not have to touch them.
Please use the entrance doors closest to the sanctuary. The fellowship hall will not be open.

Once in the building, please continue to practice social distancing.
Please do not congregate in the foyer or anywhere else in the building. Avoid physical contact. Exchange smiles and wave instead of handshakes and hugs. Please maintain at least 6 feet between family units. Once in the sanctuary, you will notice that we have removed chairs to help you maintain the appropriate distance from other family units.

We will not pass the offering plate.
Online giving options are still available and offering plates will be placed near the sanctuary doors.

Please keep your children next to you at all times.
Please do not allow them to play in the foyer or outside. If they must use the restroom, please escort them and help them sanitize when they are finished.

There are no nursery or children’s programs.
We have been asked to wait to reopen all youth/children activities including the nursery which means your children will need to stay with you during the entire worship service. Feel free to bring coloring supplies or quiet small toys to help keep little hands busy during the service. Let’s look at this as an opportunity for our parents to teach their children how to behave in church and for the church to offer love and grace when children act like children.

We look forward to seeing you Sunday whether it be online or in person!
